Terms of Service

Last updated: March 1, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using PaperForge (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting to this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Operator

PaperForge is operated by KAM Sié Philippe Angelo, auto-entrepreneur registered in France, accessible at paperforge.dev.

3. Description of Service

PaperForge provides an online document template generator. Users select a template, fill in form fields, preview the resulting document, and download it as a PDF. The Service offers both a free tier (watermarked PDF) and a paid option (clean, unwatermarked PDF at the price displayed at checkout).

PaperForge is a self-help technology platform. It is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice or legal services, and does not create attorney-client relationships. See our Disclaimer for the full scope of this limitation.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using PaperForge, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

5. User Responsibilities

  • Accuracy of information: You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of all information you enter into any template form.
  • Professional review: You should have any document generated through PaperForge reviewed by a qualified attorney or professional advisor before relying on it for any legal, business, or financial purpose.
  • Lawful use: You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • No misrepresentation: You must not represent any PaperForge-generated document as having been drafted or reviewed by an attorney unless it has been.

6. Intellectual Property

The PaperForge website, brand, design, and underlying code are the intellectual property of PaperForge and its operator. All rights reserved.

Your documents: Documents you generate using PaperForge are yours. We claim no ownership over the content you create by filling in template forms. However, the underlying template structure and AI-generated boilerplate text remain the intellectual property of PaperForge.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use generated documents for your personal or business purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense the templates or generated documents as a competing product or service.

7. Payments and Refunds

Free tier: You may download a watermarked PDF at no cost after providing your email address.

Paid tier: A clean, unwatermarked PDF is available for a one-time payment at the price displayed at checkout. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Polar.sh. By making a purchase, you also agree to Polar.sh's terms of service.

Refunds: Because the Service delivers a digital product (a PDF file) that is available for immediate download, all sales are final once the PDF has been generated and delivered. If you experience a technical issue that prevents delivery of your purchased document, contact us and we will re-deliver or issue a refund at our discretion.

EU consumers: Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases. However, by requesting immediate delivery of your PDF upon purchase, you acknowledge and agree that you waive your right of withdrawal once the PDF has been generated and delivered to you.

8. AI-Generated Content

Portions of the template text, form structures, and SEO content on PaperForge are generated or assisted by artificial intelligence. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure quality and accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.

You acknowledge that AI-generated content is provided “as is” and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional legal, financial, or business advice.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; (b) any documents generated will be legally valid, enforceable, or compliant with applicable laws in any jurisdiction; (c) the Service will meet your specific requirements; or (d) any errors in the Service will be corrected.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PaperForge and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid to PaperForge in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty euros (€50), whichever is greater.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based, including negligence, breach of contract, strict liability, or any other theory. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including liability for fraud or willful misconduct).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PaperForge and its operator from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) any documents you generate, modify, or distribute using the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

12. Prohibited Uses

  • Using the Service to generate fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading documents.
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically download templates or content.
  • Using automated tools (bots, scripts) to access the Service beyond normal browsing.
  • Interfering with or disrupting the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Reselling, white-labeling, or redistributing PaperForge templates as a competing service.

13. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 9, 10, 11, 13, 15, 16, and 17) shall survive.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France.

Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably by contacting us at [email protected]. If no resolution is reached within 30 days, the dispute may be submitted to the competent courts of France.

EU consumers: If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you retain any mandatory consumer protection rights afforded to you by the laws of your country of residence, and you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

16. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, internet outages, third-party service failures, government actions, or other force majeure events.

17. General Provisions

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and PaperForge regarding the Service.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.

18. Contact
