The Seller agrees to execute and deliver to the Buyer any and all additional documents, instruments, or certificates as may be reasonably necessary or appropriate to evidence or effectuate the transfer of title to the Property.

Whether you are selling a vacuum fleet, specialized pressure washers, or an entire residential cleaning book of business in Ohio, a standard receipt isn't enough. You need a document that addresses the Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act and the Statute of Frauds (ORC § 1335.05) for transactions over $500. This Bill of Sale protects you from future theft accusations, clarifies that equipment is sold 'as-is' to avoid chemical exposure or property damage liability, and provides the documentation needed for IRS worker classification audits or independent contractor verification.
Beyond the standard bill of sale sections, this template adds fields specific to House Cleaner:
A Bill of Sale serves the core legal purpose of providing proof of the transfer of ownership of an item from the seller to the buyer. It formalizes the transaction and fulfills the legal need for documentation of the sale, aiding in preventing disputes over ownership and clarifying the terms and conditions agreed upon by the parties involved.
Property Damage Liability
Contracts often include indemnification clauses, specifying that the cleaner is not liable for minor damages unless caused by negligence or willful misconduct.
Theft Accusations
Policies in contracts that outline procedures for handling personal property and establishing liability only when credible evidence is presented.
Yes. Under Ohio Rev. Code Ann. § 1335.05, contracts for the sale of goods exceeding $500 must be in writing. Our document ensures that your cleaning equipment or business asset transfers meet these legal thresholds for enforceability in Ohio courts.
Our Ohio-specific template includes recommended Warranties and Disclaimers clauses. This is critical for house cleaners selling used equipment; it confirms the buyer accepts the item's condition, mitigating your risk if the buyer later claims the equipment caused chemical spills or floor damage.
While not always mandatory for small equipment, Ohio law often requires notarization or witness verification for high-value business transfers or vehicle-mounted cleaning units to ensure authenticity and prevent disputes over ownership and Seller's Representations.
